Danny Boy, just heard about the stints, i had them a while back, you will better than you were in a while, speedy recovery, Dempsey

  6. Look at you being modest !!! Myself and most others probably disagree but we’re all going to let you win that one.
A while back I went in for some routine stuff, they saw some crap, did some testing, then some imaging, then actual went an looked because they couldn’t imagine what they were seeing to be true. Apparently I had a pretty bad blockage and had a heart attack some time ago. They said my body grew new arteries around the blockage. I said oh really, you think I suffered and survived a heart attack and my body took care of itself all by itself??? And little to no damages?!? I said doc You probably ought to go pray more often so you can spot Gods handy work. Doc, I’m just a man, although talented and devastatingly handsome I had nothing to do with any of it.

Glad you’re ok and doing better

  7. HRP good to hear you're on the mend. Take it slow and easy and be patient, you'll be back at it in no time.

Yeah and Brenda you take care of yourself too okay.

Hi Danny please let know how well you are progressing and setbacks, if any. I have been impressed how fast I am healing and hope you do too.

    Wish you the best, too.

I think HRP is doing pretty good, considering everything.

If you guys are anything like me, you get to feeling better pretty quickly. But some days are better than others and you can get frustrated with the slow bounce back. But know that as the months go by, your body will continue to slowly heal even further. And at some point you'll realize that you're stronger.

Btw... Danny may be no more important than other members here...
But I think I might be.

  11. My brother had stents done when he was 41, he actually had a minor heart attack while working for Grumman in France, soldiered on and made it home. That was 24 years ago, today he rides a bicycle 20 + miles a week.

I have an appointment next month to get my ASIB fixed, same place that did my 2016 bypass. This doctor said my heart is in great shape otherwise.

I believe that your recovery depends on how good of a shape you were in before. I was in the gym 3x a week prior to my HA.

Sorry I missed this last week. Glad you're doing well HRP! Ironically, I was in Chicago working with a Cardiac surgeon. I saw him do 3 bypass procedures last week. The guy is an artist. Fantastic cases, and they all went home 1 day post-op.
Take care, and do what the doc tells you.

  15. Well I hate this. Bad news about someone you care about is never good.
I love this at the same time, Danny (@HOTRODPRIMER ) my brother from a different mother you are still on this side of the grass. To quote another old friend, "You do not have to stand tall in this world but you got to stand." Stand my brother. I'll stand with you.

Thanks for the update Brenda. Tell Danny to take care of himself. He’s not allowed to emeritus himself just yet.

  21. Danny, having been there, a triple bypass at 60, a double at 70, and a stent last summer. We have to be thankful for modern medical treatment. Yes, my body is making new by-passes too, but they are not complete yet. Take care of yourself, exercise where / when you can. Keep the right mental attitude, this is very important. Soon you will be back in the garage, and thankful that you are able to continue your life. sometimes it will be tough, but be thankful that you are still here, and doing what you like to do. We miss your comments on the HAMB.

  23. My brother was home in a day with his stent, was it 1 or 2? I forget. He sat home for a week... then back to the grind. Bad tickers run in one side of the family, it was a feat to get to age 60. I lost an uncle at age 49, another at 76 to it.

I take my fistful of pills like clockwork, I keep moving. I go to my doctor appointments. I retired in 2020, lost 35 lbs since then.

Hi Brenda, just seen this, tell Danny to take things easy and walk whenever he can. I had a leaky valve repair and a double bypass on April 24th this year. I aim for a one mile walk every day.
Tell him not to get up too quickly as he may feel light headed at times.
Stay strong and appreciate each day and each other.

@HOTRODPRIMER remember that shoulder pain going forward, it is a gift so to speak. Most of the time your heart attack trigger will be the same pain as you experienced the first time. Arm, chest, neck, back, shoulder...it is like an idiot light on your dash to get to the hospital.

Glad to hear you're making progress, Danny.

Brenda is supportive, like my wife Joey. We are blessed in that sense. (But you had way more Deuces than me, I only had a 5 window and a pickup!) :p:D:D
