Denny, I thought I was the only one to do shit like that In 2007 I fell in my garage and shattered my right knee, and dislocated my right shoulder I lay in a big heap on the garage floor (couldn't move) until the ambulance arrived. Had the knee operated on the next morning After much therapy I recovered, but the knee still gives me crap once in awhile

 

Somehow I missed this post. Take it easy Danny and do what the doctors tell you. I just hope you've been shitting regular. We don't want any more back ups here.
Hopefully you'll be typing until then and soon after, even if you have to use your toes.

I'm a hurtin' frog...I have been working on the All DEUCE RUN flier today and due to the fact that my old computer crashed and all the run information I had manage to save has gone the way of the dodo bird and
was well aware it was going to be a major job,so me being me I have been putting it off.

Then the unforeseen close encounter of having my right shoulder & the concrete driveway take the wind out of my sails.

Thankfully my pal Tom ( seadog) graciously stepped up and offered to help post about the run.

Time for the strong drugs and bed,good night my friends. Danny

It's ok to go back to the headlights question. Hard to focus when your on the meds.

 

Danny, I haven't been on this weekend now this.... Don't feel bad, I slipped on some snow covered ice last night and it felt like I broke my leg for a minute. I hope you heal up fast, at least it happened in the off season. The less pain meds you use in the hospital, the quicker you get to go home. Hit the rehab hard, if you're not crying then you're not trying.

Well in Danny's case it would be a hard decision, in my case easy. I am not that impressed by deuce parts so given my options I would much ruther get my hands ( hand?) on the second set.

There now I said a mouthful.

Beano,you know I like deuce parts & being like most normal guys I like boobs,but lets use common sense in this case,Brenda is ok with more Deuce parts but if I were to get my hands on door number two I would possibly end up with my other arm,or worse yet my arse in a sling,,,,I got enough problems. HRP

 

I do not agree with not using your prescribed meds. When I had my knee replaced the med guy said I see you are not using your morphine so we will remove it. I said leave it & opened up the valve. If ya got it use it get it!!! You will be more comfortable and will heal quicker. I've had both knees replaced, torn rotator cuff & dislocated my shoulder in the few years. Don't ever take my meds away. I do not over use them or abuse them but damnit I want them when I need them.

Danny, this won't soften the blow you took but I will probably be getting a replacement left socket in the future myself as I've had 7 or 8 shoulder surgeries total R and L.
If my typing starts looking funny this weekend, its because I'll be on some good stuff myself, as I'm having the 3\4 vertebrae in my neck fused Thursday.
I won't be thinking of you so I'll just say now that Im hoping things go well for you.

 

Being laid up sure sucks. Getting hurt doing something simple does too. All those years riding motorcycles, racing dirt cars and my first cast came because I fell over a"Thing" bumper, and it wasnt even mine. Damn Volkswagens, probably why Ryan doesnt allow them here.
Hope you get feeling better soon. Whatever pills they give you, a beer will make them work better. Tells you right there on the bottle, "Alcohol intensifies the effects of this medication". If they didnt intend for you to know and use this , they wouldnt tell you. Nitrous for pain relief.
Mind the doctors, mind Brenda, mend fast.
