With my Chop post and Chromed dash post you may see where this one is headed. While talking with my buddy Delton (hotdamn) he suggested black and white tuck and roll with houndstooth accents. I like the idea but would love to see some houndstooth pictures. Thanks, ******Knuckles
A friend of mine once locked her Dobermann in her big rig. ******* dog ate the entire interior. Prolly not the houndsteeth stuff you're looking for...
I have a factory 1960 Impala interior in my 60 Chevy Sedan Delivery!!!! I will try to find pics of it.
Here is an interior out of a 1997 camaro I built. The insert is pleated black and white houndstooth with white trim. I hope this helps! Thanks, Jerry
Thanks. Would love to see it. EZ Boy...I was thinking of doing smaller accents like arm rests, package tray, I don't know. Chili Phil...You're a trip! Thanks for the responses, ******Knuckles
69 and 70 Mustang Grande's (the "luxury" coupe) had houndstooth inserts as well. Had one with black upholstery with the black and white inserts as well as one with blue vinyl with blue and white houndstooth. Sadly, I have no pictures to share, but Google may turn up a few if you hunt.
70's Dart also had it. On a bench seat it could be very cool. Like a large V with houndstooth, royal blue piping, white tuck and roll beneathe the V and black vinyl on the tops and sides of the seat. Make any sense? I can draw it out if need be.
The bench in my a-coupe is actually getting black and white hounds tooth... no pleats... The pattern was actually very common in seat covers of the late 40s...
My 73 Omega has Houndstooth Bench seats! ..but yeaaa yeaa i know. I love the patteern of this print..hey they even make clothes with the same print.. now you can match!
I knew I wasn't crazy. Thanks Ryan. Would love some more pics if anyone has any. Thanks, ******Knuckles
heres a place on ebay that sells houndstooth material for interiors, you could probably get some sample pieces and get a closer look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Houn...024QQitemZ370011288850QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW and heres some pics of houndstooth in action. I think its quite nice.
why not do it with the houndstooth as the insert. do it like hell fish 65's pattern just reversed. or as Alison just suggested do it with a horse shoe pattern in black with a houndstooth insert? and do your arm rest in hounds tooth and leave it at that. too much of a good thing can get gaudy pretty quick.
and maybe do your door panels black with some fancy white inserts with the pattern outlined in those small chrome beads? then do black carpet with black rugs with white piping accompanied by a black dash with at least 6 of the plymouth ships taken off but leave the chrome strips.
