As a few of you Houston Area HAMBers know, I live down here on the gulf coast Seabrook area. I met quite a few of you folks and the reliability run. So I came up with this idea, and if I get enough responds out of it, there is no problem making it happen. I have put on and been involved in many powerboat and motorcycle poker runs down in this area. So heres the pitch: I have talked to quite a few of the local restaurant and pub owners down here in my area. I suggested a HOT ROD poker run with the invitation to extend to a few of you guys out there that have bikes and would like to also participate, in the event that your rods are not running. They seem to be very excited about it. I am not trying to suggest a long reliability run, however , it would include a captains meeting around 9 in the morning to inclide breakfast, then from there we would go to misc. stops that would include lunch, and then once all the stops are made we would end up back at our final destination where we would turn in our poker cards and have a dinner and recieve trophys and other additional sponsors items . I spoke with Lance at Lance's Turltle Club and he said it would be no problem with our start and final stop at his place . He has 2 and a half acres whcih is plenty of room for all the hot rods and bikes that one could handle. This would also be kid friendly . This is not an opportunity for a DWI fest but just to have some fun and hang out for a nice cool autumn day. Let me know what you think.

  2. Sounds like a blast. Could even roll through Kemah Target/Chik-Fila parking lot deal if it's on a Sat. evening.

I'm planning a T Bucket meetup in Galveston for next month, so I'll be watching to see what date you have. For now, I'm in. Any excuse to drive my car!

If the Plymouth is back on the street by then, I'll be down for it.
