http://www.livefasttexas.com/contentshou.htm Park Plaza Hotel Reliant Center 8686 Kirby Drive@610 Freeway Houston,Tx I'll be out there all weekend and especialy all day saturday for the car show in my bel air and another friend of mine in his bagged and body dropped impala wagon and another friend in his 61 galaxie.
I P.M.ed ya. I might be interested. HAMBers are better than Thunderbolt...even if they will put the YeeeHaww back in it.
I will probably make it to the car show for sure. I'll show up in my well worn 58 apache. She'll wow the crowds with her 283, which as near as I can tell has a corvette head on one side and power-pack head on the other. It's the off balance washing machine sound that thrills em and strikes fear into the hearts of would-be challengers....they know I mean business!
I'm right near down town, and bbq all the time. Big streets with lots of parking, I could throw a hamb-bone bbq if any one is interested. Me and baytowngreaser and BigDdy31 already get together regularly. And I see the outKast guys every now and then. We could fill the whole street with rods, that would rule. My neighbors are all cool. Let me know. John
That would be cool... except I would be shot on site if I rolled up in my toy car... Which I just got my new clutch for today... now I need time or a place to put it in at a wallet-friendly price... 1991 Nissan 240SX [not riced]
So just "Cut it with an Axe, Beat it to fit, Paint it to match" and be done with it. And you won't be shot on site for pulling up in a new car. Half of us on here have our cars all tore apart, and drive something else to work. John
hahahha that is good news... Actually, it has been my project/Toy car ever since I retired it as the daily driver... with 218,000 miles on it. The RAM 6-Puck, solid-hub, Clutch finally gave up after 60,000 miles of stop-N-go Houston traffic, so I got a replacement to put in it. Old Pic... http://s94381261.onlinehome.us/240SX/My+ride.jpg
name a time and place and what to bring and I would be there. and would drag a few friends out there also with their cars
Back up the thread a ways I mentioned a young man who recently opened his own shop in Pasadena by the name of Mike Mosley. His contact number is 281-650-7239
No doubt! I'm only a few precious parts and updates away from my '58 making it back as a cruiser. And tomorrow I'm going out to pick up my new motor for my next project. '40 Caddy Flathead!!!!
