Yep, H.A.M.B. is in all probability H.A.M.B., God knows that I wouldn't argue with that. And I'm just a humble kat from east Tennessee, so hokey may be defined differently depending on geography. Are you giving me props or an insult? Please give me an insight to your thought process, so that I will know how to respond? So, yes, obviously I don't know. just thought I'd add thread for lacing. anyone wanna post some pics? P.S. when I first saw the lacing on top of the car I said "that is the most F'ing ungly thing I've ever seen but within 15 min I thought of this little bastard car with the bastard paint job and went back and bought it. for better or worse this is my daily driver now.
If you like it, don't worry about having to fit into any catagory. I will say you seem a bit impulsive, going from thinking it's ugly to buying it in 15 minutes time!! The car does has decent lines to it. Not something I'd lace (or want). Start a thread called, "What is H.A.M.B. style anyway?". You'll get an education fast.
I'm not really looking for an education, nor am I looking to fit into a catagory, gone about thirty yrs of my life without doing so and not eager to start now. Not looking for a critique of my car either and don't give a damn whether it's something you'd want or not. I was simply asking if lacing was something that the H.A.M.B.r's were interested in. I will say that you seem a bit presumptive, to say that I seem a bit impulsive. I was saying that the lacing took about 15 min to grow on me, after that I decided to buy it. What you didn't know was that I looked at buying the car over a year ago before it was painted. I never thought it was ugly. Again, not looking to fit into a catagory, I thought I might have found a community of like minded individuals that I could converse with about topics of mutual interests but if this is the kind of place where I'm gonna get flamed for having an AMC, or lacing, or what ever, I won't be heart broken, I just won't waste any more of my time here. Not a problem, not that I gotta lot of time anyway.
There's a store here in columbus called "wild mans leather and lace" but I think they only sell 80s biker stuff and panties. haha
