Is this the Vic Smaldino driven fuel burning digger called FARGO? If so, it was alledgedly campaigned by Ed Donovan and ran low-10s at 130+ mph. Go look at Jim Brierly's article and scroll down to the bottom picture and see if it is not the same car.

F.A.S.T. Magazine did an article on early banger dragsters recently, issue #1-2010. The fastest banger ever was Vic Smaldino at 136 MPH. Vic also was consistently the quickest but with an earlier car. The 136 was high-gear only, he was quicker when using 2nd & hi in an early Ford gearbox with 26-tooth Zephyrs. www.hotforhotfours.com Vic is still around, I talked with him this morning, sharp as a tack!

F.A.S.T. magazine, Hot for Hot Fours, featured banger dragsters in their issue #1-2010. The fastest ever was Vic Smaldino at 136, on 100% nitro. I used to run a medium weight dragster mostly with my iron Cook at a consistent 116 mph, 12.20's. I could be beat but you had to be running good to do it. The bare Cook head weighs almost 90 pounds. Many 4-port aluminum heads have been built, and still are today. All who are really interested in hot bangers should join F.A.S.T. www.hotforhotfours.com

    Hey Brent,
We are working on a 120 HP flat head next, we already have the 100 HP sewn up.
Your OHV should be over the 100HP already!
