Drive it to the track, change tires, and run 11.88 @112 at Day of the Drags with nothing but a itty bitty 327. Change rear gears a few weeks later and drive it 500 miles round trip to Pistons and Paint. I'm loving my coupe.

Here's my junk which may be a little newer than most of you guys like. It runs 11.60's at 114 in the 1/4, 7.30's at 94 in the 1/8. Car weighs 3595lbs has 3.55 gears, 455 engine, auto trans, no power adder, does it on 87octane, and it still gets about 13mpg. I would like to put this drivetrain in an older lighter car for a little more fun, but ain't happening right now.

Thanks. I've wanted them on there for years, but just now figured out what to do about the clearance issues. They look better and make more power, but I don't think they sound as good as the old ones. They just don't have the same snap, crackle and pop when I get off the throttle.

car in my avatar....30 dish piston 93 truck 350...420/442 lift cam ...knock off air gap intake , 750 holley , and a pair of vortec heads. 350 turbo , 2000 stall, 2.79 gears and 275 drag raidals. went 12.30's about a month ago and i know there is still a few tenths left in it , as the 1.80 60' was with a hesitation.....2nd round it went 1.73 and i was killin' a bunch of mph and ended up breakin' out. little tweakin' and i know it will go 12.00's/teens & be in the high 1.60's 60 wise. oh yeah ....its the same combo tires and all , that i drive daily. nothing more fun than snow , light car and worn drag raidals...:D:eek:

The T has a 514" Cadillac with no power adders.... Turbo 400 trans,3.50 rear gear and has well over 1000 passes on it now. Previous engine is still fine after 700+ passes in the low 10's,built present engine just to see if I could make some ideas work.
Best so far is 9.50 at 138.38 mph 1/4 mile. Big fun.
