  4. I never refer to my 27 as a Bucket but if you can have an A Bucket then the T's between the the early T and the A Must be i figure. But i'm from New Zealand so what do i know about this.;)

    I never heard of a T with a turtle deck called a T-bucket until I joined the HAMB…

i find this debate over 'what is a t-bucket...' as amusing as the debate over synthetic v. conventional oil in the classic motorcycle forum i belonged to; at least they had internet science to lean on.

in any event, when i flip through my 60's mags i rarely (possibly never) find any mention of a "t-bucket" when discussing or featuring these cars as late as 1967. kinda like in period you virtually never read of a big block chevy referred to as a "rat". so, if we've all got a stiffy over being traditional maybe be less obsessed with what qualifies and what doesn't unless it's super glaringly obvious?

i mean, there are certainly model t-based hot rods that are not a t-bucket (modifieds, track-t), and some may even argue that point, but people here are acting like their opinion (or mine for that matter) amounts to anything.

fwiw i ran synthetic oil in my cb550 without any clutch problems.

Why in the hell would anyone want to start arguing and complaining about this thread? Give me a break!

i'm about as argumentative as they get (i prefer 'strong willed') so i try and resist the impulse when i can especially on the computer machine. still, debate generally is good and i do love a good nerd-out on the finer points but at some point a guy has to realize he might just be chasing his tail.

This is the oldest i have found. It is from Rod and Custom october 1957.
