    Man that
T roadster and parts look like you'd be halfway there. Where was that picture taken? I'm sure nowhere close to me.

Not sure where it came from. But it sure looks like a clean Western body.

  12. That's an early body, 1915 back I believe. (correct me if I'm wrong) It has a long cowl. I'd sure like to have it. That sucker is clean.

As much as I like the long tube cross ram Mopars they look out of place on a T (bucket or not).

Hmmmm, that is the Alexander brothers built top banana T that won the ridler award in 1969. I see the Lee Pratt 58 Chev in the background, I wonder when and where that picture was taken?

Motor mounts attached to the cylinder heads - I've always wondered if that was a good idea or not.... I wouldn't do it.

Just think about the 63 Lotus Indy car with the small block Ford engine. The rollbar bolted on to the heads. Gurney and Clark had big ones, for sure!

Back then you had a choice; run the fastest, lightest (all dangerous, but lighter often meant less safe) car, or don't run F1. The fatality rates were not good and everyone knew it. Same or worse than TF.

Well, when you consider that the '55-'57 Chevys had two 3/8 bolts holding those two cup-like mounts to the front of the engine, and two long studs holding up the front of the engine, I thought that the Corvette straddle mount wasn't too bad.
That engine mounted roll bar was REAL sketchy. Eddie hill used the heads of his twin Pontiacs as stressed chassis members too. Not ideal but it seemed to work....
