Wow, haven't seen that one before. I won't knock it, but you can tell it's English or down under and in the 70s or 80s even without the background cues.
I'd love to hear that hemi with injection and big pipes roar!

Does anyone here also hang over at https://tbucketeer.com/ ?
I've tried 2 times to register and get nothing.
Either my reputation precedes me or they are not getting my query.
If it's the former, I won't bother. If it's the latter, I'd appreciate some assistance.
I'm mainly interested in being able to view the pictures full size. Most all questions are better here, since it's a larger, more active group.

I'm a member there. There's new members joining, so I have no idea what's up.

Been a member there for 15 years , when the sight creator passed away , the BS check went out the window , I pretty much lost interest . It also was taken over by the "put these parts from these manufacturers together" mentality , got old in a hurry . I don't know why your having trouble , the forum has changed hands at least twice Maybe shanejgass can ask for you . ALL of the old group have moved on or passed away .

    Thank you both, @2OLD2FAST and @shanejgass !
I have occasionally wandered over there and to the plans site for a while, just trying to keep the flame alive, then got my project this past May.
I tried a couple years ago, then again this past week. I knew it had fewer members, like a great many forums that have faltered due to the big talkie sites, but wasn't aware of the other stuff, except today when an older post was brought back up about the former host passing. Also noticed a webmistress on a lot of posts, which was new.
If @shanejgass wants to reach out over there, I'd appreciate it, but don't go to any great trouble. I tried using the same user name, @RodStRace if that will help with the query.

I'm more of a lurker, been collecting parts to build a bucket for about 20 years now but life always got in the way. I spend some time reading through builds as I'm planning mine out. I have noticed that they tend to push their sponsors parts over using originals, so I agree with you there. I get more good stuff from here than anywhere, so I'd recommend just taking in everything the H.A.M.B. has to offer. But I'd be happy to ask if you want some help.

@shanejgass Don't bother. It came up again this morning when the T posted two posts up caused a bit of research. The photo link there is an X, so even being a member wouldn't help.
I'll mention that I found a few different parts gatherings today.
The one posted in the CL thread and these.

The first is fairly cheap, the second less so, but still a budget way to get in.
I've wanted one for most of my life. Started getting serious and kept an eye out and found one that was inexpensive and had good traits. Since we tend to feed each other's addictions here, I'd say if it's what you want, you have parts and it won't mess up your life, go for it!
Right now is a good time to find a winter project. That first one could be loaded into a truck bed, no trailer.

    @Snicklefritz65.
I was never a big fan of the elephant trunk intake adaptors, but I really like them on this car.

I've also heard of them referred to as "water buffalo" adapters.

That's an even better name for them. I've got a 4-71 I wanted to use on my '56 Sedan Delivery but air cleaner won't clear the hood without a bubble or scoop. I may look for one of those 'Water Buffalo' adapters.

very interesting. it may seem odd but i never even considered the question of what to call those things. i'm kinda on the fense about whether i like the look of 'em. as far as efficiency i'd say there were a good many things of which were not great for flow (*cough*flatheads) "back in the day" but i'd guess a blower covers some sins up to a point.

    "It didn't work very well"

That was what I was afraid of.
