So it is a VW T roadster? I hope I didn't offend with my preferences about a couple things. It is a great looking T. Stance is spot on. I hope you continue to enjoy it now that you were able to get it back. Have any more photos of it?

I'm not offended. While I'm not a VW guy and was able to spot it, if someone is out there enjoying the road while not being a nuisance or hazard, great!
@flatheadgary while it's not a T-Bucket in the traditional sense, they were styled to emulate one and have a history almost back to the HAMB era, IIRC.
1200 pounds running is a big part of hot rodding (power to weight) so posting a thread on it in the OT section would be great. You might ruffle feathers here, but I'd like to hear about it. A thread might motivate you moving forward, too.

since i didn't post the picture i can't be upset here. there are a lot of t's here i don't care about so i don't post. as far as motivation goes, i don't need any. i am 76 years old and been building what i l like since i was 12 years old. i get up everyday and work on my stuff. i just hope i can get most of the 25 or so cars and race cars i have built before i die.i don't care one wit what people think about what i have. i have always built what i like. isn't that what Ed Roth did? now look at all the people that admire him.

Ed Roth started the deviation, maybe Moriarity can explain it to you.

There have been any number of pictures on this thread of t-buckets with dragster-like frames with wire front wheels that were street legal. I posted this as the next step in mating a t-bucket with a dragster. Note the rear of the body with the streamlined parachute pocket. This car was featured at the 1964 Winternationals Car Show at Pomona. Compare this car to the one on the previous page with the real pistol grip shifter. If you lived in Southern California in the 60's, cars like these were a dime a dozen.
