    I would guess it has what I think they call "saddle tanks". A pair of them. They fit between the drive shaft and the frame rails.

    Those poor drag slicks are in for a beating.

    i believe you're right. i think years ago i saw a picture of the gas tank layout on this or another one like it with a big block mopar; had quarter epileptic springs too.

    I do remember this car in the magazines, or one like it, in a Tex Smith book maybe?
    it had saddle tanks.

    Just as well left the shocks off that one, huh?

    Someone explain to me the rod(?) on the left side. Is that what locates the rearend laterally?
