On another site, a guy has an old Fibergl*** body. The cowl has the dropped edge that could hold insulation for a hood and it has the small back lower sections original Model Ts had.
Any guesses on who did them this way?

My Speedway body has the same firewall dropped edge, don’t know if it has the small back lower section. Here is a side view for you to determine

The area behind and below the curved back, under the trunk. Yours is mostly hidden by the rear wheel, but they are not there.
The post at the top of this page, post 5371 with the graphics seems to have the back part, too.

@Snicklefritz65 Thank you! I knew there was someone who had some history of these!

I'll share this with the guy. He said Bird, but that didn't sound right.
I know a bunch of different people did bodies and it's tough to ID them, but this at least gets closer.
The Honest Charley shows the lip at the cowl, too.

You know you are a showoff when the slicks are pinstriped!

Judging from the details, that looks like a steel bed, too. Tailgate chains, hinges and the tonneau cover clipped to the bed rails.

Now I have to start over! My body is inferior! I’d probably just cut it off anyway, so I guess I can do without it… interesting bit of gl*** body history though.

With the "ladder" underslung tube on the bottom of the frame it makes me wonder if a full belly pan is planned?

Just wondering...what's the wheelbase? My guess is 100" - 102". I like the position relationship of the rear axle to the turtledeck and body. Too often, for my taste, rearend position is too far forward which makes for too much turtledeck overhang, or it's too far back making for a un-necessarily long and un-attractive wheelbase. I like compact T's!

It’s kind of a throwback to my racing days combined with track roadster racing from the early 50s. The wheelbase is 99 inches but it’s adjustable a little bit. I have plans in my head for a belly pan, running from the nose to the kick up just in front of the rear axle. That would be relatively easy to make as the tubing as well as the frame is square from front to back. So it would just take rolling some aluminum sheet around the tubes and attaching it with Dzus clips. The engine compartment side panels will be a bit more difficult because they have to get from the firewall to the nose, on a taper. The hood, well I have some trepidation on that part. And then getting it flush with the side panels.

If you want a good laugh, go read the complete thread and see why it’s called the whatever project. And comment on everything you see. I am a great plaigerizer, so if you have done something similar I will certainly copy it somewhat.

Isn't that a cover section which goes over the ch***is on an original set-up? You would need to check out an original T roadster minus trunk section to find out.

Check out the pic in post #5378. That's exactly what it is.

  26. Looks like a steel body too. Hole in the back corner, and it looks like the door opens
