Mmmmmmm; :D . That pic just brought a smile to my face. Thanks for posting it.
One of my favorite looks. & one I'd like to own.
The others involve a 6-71 SOHC or Shotgun like Joe the Chromer(iirc),
    & of course, Sunkist.

Thanks! It was in Hop Up kinda. It’s now in Japan. It’s also a roadster…not technically a bucket.

Que Sera sera…technically, to me a bucket is any T with a roadster body, in any style. T bucket, T modified, track T, T roadster pu, T go job, Volksrod, and maybe more. The only gray area would be the 26-27 roadster. VW floor pans with a “T” style body installed are dune buggies, and where I draw the line.

Yea, I was looking at that pic closely, I *think* it's a Fuller chassis, but can't be sure. It could be one of the few that Speedway sold(which were from Fullers' designs & jigs that Speedy bought & quickly mothballed). A few more pics would help, esp w/the hood sides off & under-the-car- shots. Fullers' chassis was tubular parallel rails following the T body cowl lines, & the bodies were usually not channeled. The chassis designed by Tom & Tex for the R&C Roadster, which was then sold by Dode Martin (plans &/or chassis), was tubular also, but trapezoidal shapd, w/ straight sides, & the bodies were usually channeled the dia of the frame tubes. Don't suppose you have any more pics of that one(maybe could PM them to me, if you don't want them on this thread)? I don't recognize the car, but it has very good proportions for a VolksRodT, looks very well built. At 1st I thought it was Walt's car, don't think it's his. Judging by the cars in the background, that has to be a very recent pic. Glad to know it's out there yet, giving someone a permanent case of the smiles.

I think it is a volksrod. The chrome link going back under the body is probably for the accelerator pedal to the carb.

A T with a turtle deck, regardless of year, is not a t-bucket. There is no grey area.

    No gray area.
Kind of weird when you think about it. But I tend to agree with you.
With the rear axle and tires tucked up close, it's a T Bucket. But simply put a turtle deck on it... and it's not a T bucket.
    Abracadabra... not a T Bucket
    Hocus Pocus... T Bucket
Or if the rear axle is just a little too far back.
    Abracadabra...

"The Anal expulsive personality is an opposite of the Anal retentive personality, and has a lack of self control, being generally messy and careless."

    Probably just as annoying...........:eek::rolleyes::D

Back in the ‘80’s a friend of mine purchased this car as a basket case stalled project. We finished the car and put quite a few miles on it before it was sold. The last I heard it was in Florida.
The engine is a Toyota “hemi” four banger, the owner did the upholstery and top. I put many miles on it, although it rode a little stiff it was a fun piece. One unique feature was the lack of starter key, instead a touch tone pad from a telephone was installed in the steering column drop, it actuated a series of relays to start the engine, turn on the lights, and power the horn. (All these years later I still remember the code to start the engine)

Those engines used to be cheap...not any more! Too, there's a lot of speed equipment available and they look good.

figures. those things used to be everywhere. and the stuff we used to just throw away (cast iron intakes, exhaust manifolds, four doors) are getting shocking money. a sign of getting older for sure.
