the only thing they do is look stupid.I 've tested stupid***** like this, even the giant spacer under the blower, all they do is nothing for performance

Definitely just for dress up, and that's ok too.
Here is the important bit of what I said: "although my guess would be that the owner thinks it looks good."

Cool T…but, move the body up on top of the frame and you would actually sit in the car and look out, (not over) the windshield…..just saying!

At one time there must have been lots of front halves of model T pu boxes laying around CA.

That’s Dode Martin in the yellow Dragmaster Volksrod in post #1327. Might be Kent Fuller in the red Volksrod. Still interested in building one until I checked vintage VW running gear prices!

Thanks for this thread and all that have posted on it.I will never own a T bucket but consider my coupe to be a bucket with a roof. With the roof insert taken off it's an open air hot rod. As long as there are T buckets there will always be hot rods and vise versa. Drive on!!!............

just a question. why do almost all of these have slicks on the back. their not race car? show cars that don't get driven? i never raced mine because i drove mine everywhere even in rain. mine was my only car for several years.

  28. Kinda depends on where you live. When I had mine, driving daily wasn't an option. With a foot of snow on the ground treaded rear tires won't make a damn bit of differance. And with a temp of ten below there wasn't enough heat in the sun to get my**** in that seat. I treated mine like a big toy. Pulled it out of the shop and played with it when I wanted to. I had another car for a DD. I ran slicks and no front brakes but it didn't stop me from rollin' up the long distance miles. Spent alot of time under over-passes. Like riding a motorcycle except you don't have to put your feet down when you stop. Oh, and being a little more aware of***** around you helps too. But the main reason I ran slicks and 12 spokes up front was because I liked the look.
