This is the photo that is etched in my (foggy) brain, never could find it in my searches.
I'm sure the people that hold tight to the pre-66 deal won't get this car at all, oh well.

  3. Thanks. Found it. $23,000 for a finished car probably isn't out of line in today's crazy market.

  12. This was a Phoenix-based car started as a "budget build" and quickly escalated - note the gold-plated valve covers and paint by Corky (AMT Corp. painter).

It was built from a Triumph Spitfire by Gary Janes in England.

Agreed, T Buckets are true basic rods which seemed to fall into disfavour with the Fad T thing in the 70s as I see it. Happy to stand corrected on that.

That is my idea of a T, completely.

This combines my interest in Rods and early / vintage cars (pre-1930) all in one. Love it.

I have often had the idea of a 27 T with sprint / track car nose, dry lakes influenced but with elements of early British sports cars added in such as cues from the Allard J2 so maybe Cadillac or Mercury power!!

  24. Built this one back in 2009, still going strong, still smiling when I drive it (I turn 70 this year)
