I'm still looking for the photo that was used for the "Hunnert Car Pileup" with two Midget cars stacked up with the drivers contorted in their seats...! [IMG]

Anybody know which one I'm talking about...? [IMG]

Isn't that Wally Parks in one of the Midgets? I thought maybe it was taken at the Rosebowl. The one car is over the other like they're mating or something.

I think that's the one...! Can Anyone Find and POST THAT PICTURE! [IMG]

When I was a kid, the whole family would go to Lakeside Speedway in Denver on Sunday nights.

    http://www.sd455.com/crmlakeside.htm

It closed in 1988 due to a spectator death. The track is still there, but its falling apart.

Kinda sad to see it now..... [IMG]

    Thanks for that link colorado51!
I spent many a weekend there as a kid.
What a great track that was and what a cool park.

  17. Thanks Warpig!

That means the driver had to have been a midget in order to fit inside the car with the Allison! [IMG]

Who would happen to have a photos of the model T roadster and a 64 Chevelle with Allison/Rolls Royce Merlins in them...??? [IMG]

The "T" was campaigned on the show circuit and the Chevelle was show and driven on the street! However the Chevelle had overheating problems as well as a massive fuel appettite!! [IMG]
