Here's a few videos that my wife got of the green/rust 4 door '55 we brought.

This thing went from small motor (.060 over DZ302) with a 4 speed running 7.85's, then after the 4 speed ****tered went to 8.20's with the automatic, and then to the newer, little bit bigger motor (.030 over 350) and same automatic running 7.36@92 with 1.57 60 ft times. We were STOKED !!

I had so much ****ing fun this weekend. My face was hurting from smiling and laughing so much. I can't wait to do it again !

    Here's some pictures and videos.

That 55 was hot on my heels Aaron.Like i said "its gunna surprise alot of people" and "may have my # or be real close".It did both of those things. Its just a matter of time before im watching the back bumper of that 55 .Hell you already beat me in the first 60' by a few hundreths and was less than a tenth behind me in the 1/8.Congrats to you and your dad on the good p***es ,and its time for me to enhance my Dart ,or atleast till i run out of $$$ .Cant wait to see that thing run at Ardmore in May :)...

I wasnt trying to start anything Rusty .No matter how fast you are ,theres always gunna be someone faster .I really was impressed with the 55 running those #'s and draging that much weight (no fooling).Being its first time at the track with the new motor made it even more remarkable.Im not enhancing my car to try and stay ahead of them ,im enhancing it into an 1/8 mile only car ,since that seems to be what most of the races i attend are.The 4.10s and the high first in the glide are killing it ,not to mention that im going through the lights at 4800 in high.Im just gunna change the gears to a 4.56 is all ,its no secret. Those guys are running good with the 55 ,and they diserve all the pats on the back they get for it.Weither they are ahead of me or not ,i consider them friends .Im past all that Mickey Mouse **** from before ,and im just out to race and have fun with freinds .Its alot more fun that way :)...

Thanks guys ! We were having a BLAST ! The Anglia was running good too ! Anything else planned for it before the race in May ?

We've got some new things planned for the ol' busted *** 4 door, so we'll see what happens. I can't wait to get back to working on it. It should be in pretty much the same exact configuration as it's in now for the Hill Country drag races in April, but might not be the same by the HAMB Drags. ;)

At the very least, it will probably have some new lettering by yours truly by April.

I'll answer that question. Its really not an air cleaner top.His dad found that in a s**** yard about 5 or 6 years ago (if i remember right) .I recall him showing it to me the day he found it.He proly only gave a few bucks for it.His dad has always had a nack for seeing something that can be cool to use as something else on hotrods. His dad used to be a machinest years ago ,and i think he told me that was some kind of hydraulic fluid plate or something at one time.It sure made a cool looking one of a kind air cleaner top for a few bucks.I dont remember it having the red in the machined parts though ,Aaron must have pinstriped it (looks cool painted). Not trying to hyjack ,just wanted to anwer the question .Great vids BTW Aaron ,and the 55 really sounds good with the new motor :)...

It's funny the stuff the old man comes up with, huh ?!

I didn't stripe this one--the day before the Thaw Rob painted it and then came back with some sandpaper and sanded the paint off the top of the raised parts.

BTW, I'm going to upload the other videos I have from the Thaw and post them on here soon.

Here we go. First and second p***es I got lined up against Dennis' (senior fried) '55 Chevy that is over a second faster. I redlighted on the first p*** I made with the new motor because there's quite a bit more torque there than before, so it actually left when the lights came down ! It went from a 1.88 60ft with the old motor to an off-the-trailer, foot-braking it at 3K 1.65. It ended up getting down to 1.57 ! And I'll be damned if the camera ran out of memory on the fastest p*** of the day ! Grrrrrr ! It was a 7.36@92 against John's turbocharged LS1 '60 Chevy wagon. My wife got half of the p*** anyway.
