I bought a studebaker hawk from a junkyard for $50. I pulled the steering column out with my bare hands. I got some good parts but left the shell to rot, seemed like the right thing to do.

I bought this '37 Buick last fall for $550, and another $100 in gas to go get it. I figure these are getting rarer by the day and it would have only gotten worse sitting where it was and eventually some one some one would drag it out and post on the HAMB what a great car they found.

When I bought it I considered it a parts car at best, it has some major rust issues. I think most people would have walked away from it but I thought some one needed to save it:

So far I have put a considerable amount of work into it and between some wheeling and dealing I have another $1000 in parts stuck into it. I will probably have another $5000 by the time I do the body and paint work and have the interior done. I'm building it close to stock and hope to have a nice driver, not a show car.
