I purchased a lot of parts that included a drop axle. I am new to this and want to know how I would tell if it is for ford or Chevy spindles?

Sorry, guess I should have went more in depth. I have no spindles, just the axle. Just wondering how I would be able to tell if the axle is designed for use of ford or Chevy spindles.
