People sell emails all the time. It's a business now. So either someone sold us out and sold our emails or in small lettering this is part of the agreement we took joining the hamb, or someone hacked them. Either way don't worry Guys it's just the times now. No privacy. So keep your zipper up, they are watching you,

Yup...me too...they are based out of England it seems.

Somewhat related the Missus wanted to get some Starbucks points but you need their App...so I take her phone and find it an start to download it and it wants me to okay it to go through contacts, photos this and that and I thinking why the heck does it need to go through the entire phone to give me some Starbucks points.

I have had another Vender related email at least one other time.

I do get Hamb email alerts for conversations of which I probably authorised and am completely Ok with.

Spam. Anyone can get your email at any time by using your ISP. All they need to do is belong to anything that you have emailed or checked out on the internet. Same thing when you get all of those spam emails from other sources and **** sites.

When we first got the internet, we kept getting all kinds of spam from the **** sites and the wife was always pissed off at me. Well, a buddy of mine told me about "link attaching" at the time (early 1990's). Then, the internet was wide open. Remember when they would advertise on television in the 1980's with a WWW.COM address? The internet was wide open then and anyone could link to where ever you sent an email or looked on the internet.

Anyway, my buddy told me to go home and delete my cache and then go to a known safe site (ebay for instance) and then recheck my cache. Sure enough, there it was.

So.....the next time the wife *****ed at me for having looked at ****, I had her delete the cache and then go to a known safe site. She couldn't believe what she pulled up afterwards....****! I told her to email her brother. When she opened his email that she received back from him, there were about 100 or so spam links attached. Uh-huh. She owed me big time! We made or own ****....bowshuckabowwow

I have ATT for my browser so when I receive an email that I suspect is spam, I place it directly into the spam folder with out opening it. I never hear from those sources again.

I got it too, straight to trash unopened.

I guess I thought our email addresses here were private, admin eyes only?

Is there a setting for that somewhere?

I took it one step further than just deleting it. Their email address is in the header of the email, so I copied it, and then subscribed them to all kinds of **** that would make a normal person go blind. A**** others, they'll be receiving offers from the following **** sites: Teenagecycle****s.com, Buddyboyz.com, Checkmyhairycrack.com, and ****adiddledoo.com.
