that's a great show. been going since the first one. Saturday I walked from 8:00 til about 3:00 almost non stop. I want to see every car there. I think I may have missed a few so I went back sunday from 10:00 - 2:00. got about 400 pics... I'll make a post later.

I don't know what this guy was smokin, but I'd like to get some. could his for sale sign have meant 12.5 K rather than 125 K?

    maybe he was smokin crack?

  2. I think overall it is a good show and you need to look at all of the good stuff you find. So ignore the billet fiberglass smoothie style rods and look close at all the cool traditional style stuff. Kirk is right, "Drive your car and have fun!"

Anyone with half a brain will figure out that registering for $40 (pre-reg) is a deal. You not only get to park inside with all the cars, you bring your own cooler with food and drinks, instead of the $8 sandwiches and $7 beers. You are close to the action, can buy junk at the swap meet and only have to haul it back to your car INSIDE the show, not all the way out to the far parking lots. So what if your car is not going to win, go and have fun, that is what Sam and I did along with other friends. Besides driving your hot rod is always good for your disposition.

Kirk is right, the parking and admission is cheap entertainment. Supper out at our fave joint runs about $60.00 - meal, couple of brewskies and tip. Only takes about an hour. At a goodguys show I can hang around all day if I want to.
The P-town show is my favorite show, and I've attended it every year. It's interesting to see the changes in styles, colors and trends from year to year. Always goodstuff, and goodcars, you can't beat the Goodguys!

Despite the horrific drive down and back, it was great. Hell, it always is. A hot rod show is what you make it.

The West Coast Nats is tied with Puyallup for Kickassness.

I saw you for a minute but you were talking with peeps.

We were all the cars in the Gotta Drive 'Em area torn apart. It was bad. I'll have to PM you.

  12. Hot Rod Week and the weekend were great. I didn't really have the time to do it this year, but after seeing the line-up for hot rod week I had to go. Absolutely no dissapointment at all. I think Goodguys does an awesome job and you get a lot of bang for your buck. There would be no way otherwise to see some of the "stuff" we saw last week otherwise.

Damn it's funny how things change in 10 years...remember the days of $10 car shows at a bowling alley because the big shows were too expensive and sucked....just sayin!
I had to miss the west coast nats again this year...it really is one of my favorite shows....maybe next year...sigh....
