How do I convert an electric speedometer to manual?

I tried searching but came up empty. I figure even though it's not completely traditional (newer drivetrain and all) that there would be some folks here that chose not to swap over to ugly electronic gauges in thier vehicles when using electric drivetrain components. Thanks in advance.

 

Depends on the ******.........you could use a drive gear from a motorcycle and not go through the ****** at all. Ive never done it, but could see how it would work.
