How do I delete an ad that I placed once the car has sold?

Reply to your own add “sold”

Then report it to a Moderator who then will delete your ad.

    Thanks

why not just mark it as sold? that way it gives us some prospective on what things are being priced at instead of relying on barrett jackson or me*** prices.

in reality that is what Ryan wants to do. That is real good historic information , not to mention photos and descriptions in parts ads are valuable ID tools. I usually try to leave ads when people report them but some report over and over like they are afraid their privacy is being compromised somehow. (it is not)

  5. Yeah it's good information to have. Especially if it still shows what it sold for.

Hmm...sure does give you a lot of SOLD ads to have to pore through though...on another buy/sell site we probably all use the prompt "is this still available" is one of the most hated possible replies with folks going out of there way to say "will not reply to blah blah" and "will remove ad when sold" etc....I personally like to delete ads immediately because it's annoying when you find something you need there's that brief joy of discovery and then SOLD... Damn!! and do we really know what it sold for? It might be listed at Bareit Jackon prices but sell for Cal Worthington deals in the end or the seller might be inundated and up his price privately ...and does it bear much review? a guy on here bought a model A roadster at an estate sale for $100...did it affect the price of A roadsters?

pretty simple really, just look thru the first few pages of the cl***ifieds daily, sold ads will never be bumped so they will not be in anyones way unless you are dozens of pages back.... the review we are talking about is mainly part identification. that info is terribly valuable
