How do I find vintage NHRA race results ?

Doing a little research on a dragster my Brother in Law has. Turns out this car was raced at Bristol in 1965. I've Googled every combo I can think of but no luck. Do any of you know how I can find any old race results? The car supposedly won its class there. Any help is appreciated.

 

There is a fairly extensive article in the August 1965 issue of Hot Rod about the Springnationals (first annual, by the way). There is not, however, a listing of all the class winners.

 

What class?

Don Montgomery's "Those Wild Fuel Altereds" and "Supercharged Gas Coupes" contain alot of data and might help if he raced in one of those classes.

 

Go to Draglist.com. Click the drag lists link on the top, you can search by category, drivers name and year.

Try Chris Martin's Top Fuel Handbook. I think Hotrodnostalgia.com sell it. If it's not out of print. Great book.
