I recently purchased an old hotrod pickup with a Jag rear end. This is a barn find that has sat since the owner died in 1978 and he was in the middle of refreshing it at the time so everything was in pieces. It is missing the rear brakes. I would like to keep it but do not know where to start to identify what I need to bring it back to life. Does anyone know of any source for pictures, schematics, or where the identifying marks are on this thing? If you would like I can take some photos and send them. Thanks to anyone who can help.:)

Streetrodder magazine did a massive an thorough multi-part article on Jag rears a few years back--probably everyone here HAS that, the trick will be locating someone who can FIND it.

I've got the SR article filed away. Will send info tonight. Don't sweat the original brakes and go with Wilwood.

  4. You sure the brakes are missing? The brakes are inboard on an old Jag rear.

Use the search function. I started a topic to ID this rear last year and there was some good info posted there.

    This is an E-type rear...
