How do I prevent post shutdown flooding?

    No pics but i found al. plates that you sandwich with std. gaskets that fit 2 bbl or 4bbl holly bolt pattern about 3 of them makes a great heat sink. the isolator also works NAPA carries them.

    way to bring up a 2 year old post with advise that largely doesn't apply to the primitive one barrel holley carbs that we were talking about.

    there is no edelbrock carb to replace a one bbl holley.

    5-6 psi is often too much for these carbs. and an aftermarket pump that puts out that much volume is not necessary here either.

    i agree with the phenolic spacer, but you ain't gonna find one at summit for a one bbl carb! you gotta MAKE one.

    the carbs have a glass fuel BOWL. that's why we are running them. we put up with the tuning problems cause they look cool.

    get a BIG RACING FILTER! haha.

    I am having the same problem with my 29 roadster also...But when I drive it and it gets heated up and i shut it off it wont start for days. It just clicks with a full charge on the battery..Any Ideas????

    Build a spacer from 1/2 inch marine plywood. It cured my 57 Y-block Fairlane from doing the same thing.
