How do I quiet my 2'' sidepipes?

I want my sidepipes to be mellow but not to loud. The pipes have a 2'' inside dia. I was thinking about sliding a baffle inside, but most baffles I find are not made for a 2'' pipe. I cut the pipe so that the seam is under the hanger bracket so you won't see the weld. Any ideas?

From what I understand, they don't quiet it down a lot at idle, but it takes out the high pitch and gives it a mellower tone when you jump on it.

I know a lot of guys with cobra replicas use this type of insert in their cars to mellow the tone a bit.

Point them down.........it will make a HUGE difference.......otherwise cut up a cheap car muffler and bolt the baffles inside the pipes with some steel wool (not the cheap stuff, unless you want to see some cool fire/sparks @ night).
