I saw another avatar thread, and some of you were good enough to help others out by making their images into avatars. I'd like to know what the trick is....I re-sized a couple pics so many times, I finally got them under 1kb, but they look like gnat***** on the HAMB under my name. They are so small, it's just silly. How do I get them under the 1kb limit, but big enough to see? Thanks for humoring an old guy. [IMG]

Its better to put your avatar on a different site, much like you would do for posting images from another site.

I have my avatar hosted on photobucket.com, because its small enough to not hog up the limited bandwidth from the free account. I'd use onfinite.com for that too, but half the avatar would be taken up by the logo that they place on the bottom of the image.

I probably should just put them on the domain/site I pay for, but for some reason I haven't yet.

If you need a hand with this, pm me.

animal - you have your own webpage.... so your way ahead of the game!

I put all my avatars into a folder on my webpage... something like this http://www.mywebpage/images/avatars/nameofpicture.jpg
now you can put that address to your picture in your profile and your rocking and rolling... thats the only way you can have a nice looking avatar.
