how do you get the cowl vent of a 65 Rivi?

I want to strip the paint of of the cowl vent that someone painted and covered the chrome. After you take the screws out of the front how do you get the cowl to let go of the vent?

 

Is the windshield holding it in?

 

Thought it had some phillips head screws holding it ??Along the bottom maybe??

 

never mind it is more than I want to do, I got to looking you have to removie the entire cowl. I have enough of the car apart now LOL.
