One Click or Two: The very important thing to remember when your tying that transmission to the converter. If there was only one click, you might have a problem ...at least with GM TH350 ...the all-important second click is the pump being engaged. Things work for a while but ultimately things break ....How do we do it ?? "Experience is the name we give to the mistakes we make."

yeah - THAT'S what I was hoping for - that maybe somehow it just wasn't fully seated in the trans - no such luck.

BigBlockMopar, well no reason - other than it was cheap and this motor is VERY mild. I've got most everything I need (less a certifed bell) to stick a lenco in it - I just didn't want the added work up front. I have enough to learn as it is. Hoping that as I get more comfortable with things - I can advance to some better stuff.

Man.......I've got a hack saw, a grinder, a torch, and an arc welder. All I need is a few more BIG hammers and I'll have a full machine shop. :D

So many stories relate. A friend of mine knows mustangs, 5-6-7 tbirds like the back of his hand. He will restore one or two a year. He thought he would build a hot rod. Three years later he was almost ready to put the fabricated pieces together. The fact is there are few people in the world that know how difficult it is to build a car and make it dependable, go straight, not overheat, stop, turn and most importantly look good. Forget trying to explain to anyone who does not "get it." Building a car takes time, ability and money. Grinding a part to fit is part of it. Grinding it twice is also part of it. Welcome to my sport.

First I rant, rave and swear I will never build anything again. Then I kick something hurts enough that I will remember it and then I just crate it up, insure it and then ship it to Abu-Dabi. After 3 weeks, I file a claim for a lost shipment and use the money to buy one already ***embled and tested.:D

Ok. Cheap is good :D but...
I don't want ruin your sleep at nights, but TCI isn't really known for their 'quality' transmissions these days.
Better make sure the ****** is A-OK, by going over everything inside and also the valvebody before you might need to start another "Mini Rant"-topic... ;)
