Wow cool! You have a some what rare "62c" car. I've had mine for almost thirty years now. you'll find that the roof of your car is different than most '62s... But don't get too excited, because Ford adopted that same roof line for the whole Falcon line the next year. It should have a bunch of cool things in the interior like foil inserts in the door panels, and console, different armrests and dash knobs. All stupid stuff I know, but different. The couple of Dagenham trans cars that I have drove had really well spaced gears and sure made a big difference in how quickly these things got around. The web sight falconparts.com will become your good friend, trust me. I'm putting together a '62 Ranchero for my girlfriend right now, and there are several easy upgrades out there for these cars that make them a heck of allot safer and more able to keep up with today's traffic. Keep an eye on the thread here called doing Falcons right for some ideas. Enjoy, Chip

The seller didn't know much more about Falcon trivia than I do, which is nothing. He explained the roof line and the transmission as this being a "late '62" car. As if Ford was transitioning into the changes for '63.

The car does seem to be geared really well with that transmission. I've only driven it home from the seller's so far, (about 50 miles)and that was mostly open road and interstate. But when I did use the gears the car seemed very responsive. It will be a lot of fun to drive, for sure.
