How do you protect your Hot Rod when traveling and staying overnight in a motel?

Lacking all the fanzy stuff, use a total car cover on it with very loud alarm right infront of your room. OK I'm old so actully I did a lot of tent camping, and the rod was parked next to my tent,I counldn't of aforded a motel anyway!

I used to put a lever over the pinon yoke. It was made from 1/2" plate and 18" long. I had a severly too big lock on it. The car would be hard to move without jacking it up. It was the only thing I could come up with to secure a roadster. I sure like some of the monitor ideas.

I have an electric fuel pump with a hidde toggle switch.

When I leave the car I switch it off.

If you steal it you'll only get as far as the gas in the carb will take you.

Not too many thieves will want to hang around to try and locate the problem.

Won't help if someone wants to tow it - but then what does?
