Alot of my problem is that I have had to convince myself that I'm "new" to this....I've always been a car guy, but am really a bike guy at my core, and you can rebuild an old Harley in your closet...space and finding ways to lift/move things isnt really an issue. I've "redone" a couple of my old pickups, but nothing on the level of what I have going on right now. I have to find my way of working these things, so that it is fun. The most extreme thing I've done is put the lift kit on my old GMC, one axle at a time, and that was under a deadline. But it was still fun. Having the gutted carcass of a 79 Camaro taking up one stall of the shop doesnt help either....I've put on miles having to walk around that hulk....it's always in my way. Thats why it, and everything else I dont need, are going away. I suppose clearing the shop is a bit like clearing your head.
This dude has the right idea. It does work to get it out on paper. Cuz when you check it off. You can see the progress.
