Well, I got the braket or the M/C made last night, so maybe it will be on the road this weekend for the swap meet! Only time will tell...
I got the master cylinder bracket made, had my friend Greg tid weld it for me. It is mounted on the p***anger side, and I used the factory brake mechanism to work it...I simply added an arm right behind were I wanted the master cylinder, so when you push down on the pedal, the pedal pulls the brake shaft, thus pushing the plunger into the back of master cylinder. Should work great! I also have all my ruber lines routed, and half my hardlines. I had to give up for the night, I needed one br*** fitting but the stores are closed. Hopefuly will get it ****oned up tomarow!
Saturday I spent all day running brake lines and bleeding the sytem. Took it for a spin around the block and the brakes didn't feel to firm. The fronts lock up, but the rears are not really doing much. When I jack it up and have someone step on the brakes, I could still rotate the rear tires, so I adjusted them out a little more, then I could not. The pedal still feels a bit "spongy", and think I may have some more air in the line. Ran out of time, but will mess with it later this week. On the plus side, the car drives very well with that ******, made a HUGE difference. Rides a bit bouncy, but I do not have shocks hooked up yet!
Thanks guys! I just bought this yesterday at a swap meet, it is a 1948 Chevy sedan rear end. Attached at the front of the torque tube is a aftermarket "Truckstell" overdrive unit. I'm gonna adap it to the torque tube in the A, giving it a little highway power, but probably won't start until next winter
Got the brakes working FINALLY! took a little while to get the bugs worked out, but here it is.... <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/R3O0oTs6Cjo&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/R3O0oTs6Cjo&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Sounds ****in' great! Also sounds like those dogs liked the sound too,GOOD taste those dogs have!really like the stance it's spot on.
Yeah, Lucy is my red bone **** hound. Everytime I fore the A up and she's not in it, she starts howlin like crazy
I just took it on the maiden voige to my Dads, about a 5 mile drive. The brakes were a little too tight, so I backed em off and now she rolls and stops great! The V8 ****** made a huge difference in shifting, and the whole car feels more stout with new suspention components!
are you still boring us with this jalopy?...haha looks perfect man...now, when is the banger gettin hopped up?...and when is it for sale?

I have finally had the time to read through this entire thread, and I really love the way your car "sit" Chris! Its spot on. My A is out in the cold for now but I hope to get it running (as a stocker) for the summer. It might very well evolve into something like yours over time. Thanks for sharing!
I actually made the bracket out of some s**** steel, just had my buddy TIG weld it for me (I didn't want to trust my lil MIG welder)
Well beings this thread is back from the dead I may as well do an update. I got the B engine in and running, runs REALLY hard compared to the stock A engine Also had dual exhaust put on....
