In an earlier post I failed to mention that I had a 36 Ford axle dropped by Mor Drop. The spindles turned lock to lock against the stock stops. The ackerman was fine.

Sure can. The lucky 7 axel I have should be used with bolt on drop spindles. I'm going to have a stock A axel dropped. That way the bend can a but farther in ( so I'm told by the guy who is going to drop it) I really don't want bolt on spindles on my roadster. I also an using different wish bones.

Another option was to maybe buy a new axle from So cal . They say on the Web sit it was designed to work with the old spindles. I did call to verify that it would give me my 30 to 35 degrees of turn with stock 39 spindles but he said he didn't know. ?? ??

I had the same problem, so I switched from split bones to haiepins; problem solved.

If you had a earlier wishbone say a 36 style. That would give you about 3/8" more clearance. It's going to be tough to make it work going under using the stock spindle arms.

Here is my 34 axle,34 wishbone,1 1/12" drop for 4" total. The arm are bent on top of wishbone and have good Ackerman, every thing clears and steering lock to lock is good. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1401745995.643873.jpg
