Projects How fast?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Grey and Grumpy, Feb 17, 2016.

  1. I know someone here has the answer. Going with a V8 flathead followed by a T-5 in my '30 Tudor, I'd like to keep the stock dash and speedo. Is there a way to drive the speedo with a cable? The Stewart Warner speedo has female threads...I would've preferred a new dash but, am keeping the stock gas tank.

It depends what T-5 you are playing with, some have electronic pick up tail shafts and some have cable drives. Can you tell us what year or what that BW T-5 came out of?

On my Model A I used a T-5 and kept the torque tube....the speedo is on the torque tube

  4. I have access to both early and late T-5 from S-10, mostly concerned with interfacing the original speedo. Hell, I'd even consider a GPS unit??

  5. Thanks broken spoke. That was the original plan, however now I'm locked into an open drive with a 9". All I can say is mistakes were made just trying to move ahead now.
