Some time ago, somebody posted a formula using tire diameter, gear ratio, etc to calculate the change in engine RPM when going from one gear ratio to another. I printed it out and put it someplace where I wouldn't forget it and.....I forgot where I put it!! Damn! I hate getting old. After tearing apart my info files, checking though the search & technomatic, I give up. Could somebody please post the formula I'm looking for? I'm trying to help a friend in figuring out what gears would be good for his drag car. Thanks, -Bob
Use this one from Richmond gears... http://www.richmondgear.com/101032.html If you click on the "Other Calculators" button you can play with drag racing etc.
