  4. Well Joe, other than that how did it go? :D

Now I know why you looked like hell warmed over Saturday.

Congrats on getting that "big trial" out of the way, you two wacky luvbirds.

we never would've made it out of the garage. :D

Hey NR, we wouldn't have had time to meet you with all the wedding stuff, but I'll look you up next time we're in town. We're out there at least once a year, sometimes 2-3x.

Mike, I don't think I've slept in over a month...
or maybe it was the margarita machine...

Great story, I am not sure if you are ready to laugh about it yet but you will soon.

I have a great picture to send to you guys. I will need to send it to your email address though so you have a high res copy of it.

First Congratulations! Great story (work PC won't post pics), but reads just like a good story without pics. Man, I could feel your frustration and pain. It's good to know that things seems to work out. Breaking down can suck, but fixing them can give you a BIG sigh of relief too! Good luck down the road. Thanks for sharing this life story.

I don't know if we're at the laughing stage quite yet, but we do feel better. Again, the margarita machine at our reception did wonders.

I think Elizabeth is still freaked out about how close she came to dying on the turnpike. I mean, the roads were wet and we were just over the crest of a hill. If her wheel fell off, I could've easily hit her with the 59... and if I didn't the next semi sure would have. I try not to think about how close I came to losing my wife 48 hours after the wedding.

Wow, I'm glad to hear you made it through all of that ok. Tell Elizabeth to not make anymore observations on how to make your marriage "real".
It is comforting to know that other people breakdown too. I ran out of gas on the PA in turnpike in a 55 Chevy wagon a couple years ago. I coasted to a big turnpike maintenance garage with gas pumps. I went up to the building and all of the doors were locked and shades were drawn. I could see down the side of one of the blinds. What do I see? Two highway workers playing dominos! I banged and banged on the door and finally they answered. I explained I just needed a couple of gallons of gas and I would be glad to pay whatever for them to just get me to the next exit. The guy said no way, he wasn't losing his job over me! I was pissed. I tried to just get some but the pumps were locked. We ended up calling AAA and waiting hours just for some gas.
    The PA turnpike is hell!

Congrats again on the wedding, I'm glad you made it to the Cinematic!

GREAT story bud. You had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad everything did turn out ok and in the long run no one got hurt and you two did make it to the reception.

Wish Elizabeth a belated birthday from me please and tell her to get her butt on the HAMB under her own screen name. We need all the cool hot rod gals we can get around here.

yeah, that's the last time I ever take a turnpike in an old car. Too nerve-racking. Besides, the US/state/county roads are much cooler

I keep trying to get her on here and she just says "I don't have anything to contribute". It's baloney and we all know it, so next time you see her, push her to sign up. :D

hmm... it just occurred to me that she drove her car until the wheels fell off... literally!!

congrats and good story. A real saga that would have to have a girl into cars to get through it. Your 59 is sweet, I was parked next to it at the scrap drive

What a story! After reading that, I think that every morning, for the rest of your life, the first words out of your mouth should be telling Elizabeth what an awesome wife she is and how glad you are you're married to her. You are both too cool!

  21. Congtatulations on betting married.

Now tell Elizabeth she is too vested in the Car now and can't sell it, that just
    wouldn't be right.

I'll buy you both a cold margarita at the pileup in a couple months.

yeah avoid the hellhole turnpike. coming down this way is a lot easier and a nicer ride if you hop on 79 south off of 70 in ohio. take that to 68 and that puts you right back on 70 avoiding the turnpike alltogether

  25. Heck of a Wedding trip...!
