Ron , are you telling me you are one of those fair weather fisherman ! Don't you have a tent with a heater in it like the rest of the fisherman do ? Yea that's way to damn cold for me too .
It was down in the single digits here over the weekend too . But I did turn the kero heater on and pull the engine and trans from my 55 Fairlane . Now time to bundle up , start the wood stove up and start cleaning that engine bay up . What a mess ! OH well , it's got to be done !

    old lady's man ,
There is no better noise than waking up to the sound of someone working on an old Ford ! Now come on , could you think of a better sound than that ?
All you need to do is bundle up some when it's a little chilly out to do some grinding ! That's not a good enough excuse for not grinding on a frame ! It's doesn't have to be warm to weld anything either ! The cold weather is the best time to get things like that done . That way when the weather warms up , you can get the skim coat of filler on then and not waist time grinding and welding when the weather is nice out . Think about that . Well......at least that's the only thing I can think of right now to go out in this damn cold weather !

Well in a word or two - YES! I wouldn't say I'm just a fair weather fisherman but this weather lately has been UNfair! Monday's ride to work -6 degrees, Tuesday same time and it's 29 & freezing drizzle.

Maybe this weekend will be good for a few hours on the ice. Yes I have the pop-up shanty, propane heater, etc.

But if it's not too bad I may heat up the garage and try & get that new sway bar installed on the '56. And fiddle with the flipper adjustments.

Weatherman is calling for mid 70's for the GNRS this weekend. It was mid 70's today and all I got done was a junkyard crawl looking for, of all things, Toyota parts for my neighbor. I should have worked on my car.

We got another 1.5" to 2 " of the white stuff from Hell again today and more tomorrow here in Pa . This is really getting old fast !
Well about 8 to 10 weeks left ! Come on spring time !

    No rain today!!!

The first time I've seen my driveway dry in months! I actually got both the cars out today and put about 30 miles on the '53 knocking off the cobwebs. I ran the Yard art up to the store to get a pop and a pepperoni stick! (1/2 mile both ways) Damn it's loud! A muffler is in the works now!

Tomorrow..... rain again....I'll sit in my chair and wish it dry. Good time to recover anyway...

Up here in the great white north (Vancouver BC) it is not white. Just grey and wet. Been grey and wet for what feels like years, but I guess it has only been weeks. Temp is ranging from 5-10c. About 40-50 in Farenheit.
    At least we aren't shovelling.

Hey 2cdns, are you close to WhiteRock? My daughter & her family live there. We'll be out there in May or June for a couple weeks.

We got about 4" of fresh white stuff this morning (Saturday Jan29th) here in MI. Today's gonna be a snowplow/snowblowing day, getting ready for the next storm predicted to hit us mid-week. Ugggggh. I'm ready for spring.

At least we have a big swap meet to look forward to, next Saturday over at the Kalamazoo Fairgrounds.

    Hey raceron1120.
I actually live in Mission, which is about 50 miles east of Vancouver. So it is about 30 or so miles to White Rock. Let me know when you are going to be here, and we'll see if we can find some car stuff to show you. I live about 5 minutes from Mission Raceway Park, if you like racing. If you want to go to some car events when you are here, check my website for what is on. www.autoeventlist.com

It was in the 70's here for the last couple days in Oklahoma, but it sounds like we are in for much colder weather this week...

1 Feb UPDATE - Is everyone ready for this next round?? 0400 this morning here in Michigan, I'm on my way out the door in a few minutes and it's snowing already. But I've learned to be prepared; got the 4x4 with a full tank of gas, extra boots, gloves, coat and a shovel & tow strap just in case.

I just hope the wind doesn't kick up too strong. We live back in the woods and it seems like every time there's wind we lose power. But the generator is ready too, just in case.

We got a note yesterday at work to expect 10-15 inches between today and Wednesday morning. If it materializes I doubt we'll get a full day in at work today. Not looking forward to a 50+ mile commute to/from the office.

According to Weather Channel it looks like Chi-town's gonna get hammered.

How's everyone else doing so far?

Yeah my university closed two days in a row.
That hasn't happened since about '78, I do believe. So that might tell you how bad it is right now.

We are getting SPANKED!!! Gonna end up with close to 2 feet. The worst part is this wind- right now we have white-out conditions. I just got back from the grocery store and you would think that the four hor***** were on their way; the shelves are almost empty! I think people are beginning to panic.

It's back to ice, snow and 'teen degree weather (below zero with wind chill factor) here in Texas today. Got some Merc registration stuff done yesterday - it's mine now!!! But it's back to housebound again today. I'll not venture out on the roads when the weather is poor. Too many unskilled - and uninsured - drivers out there! I'll stay inside with my dogs until it clears.

I feel for you guys with your snow, ice and negative temps. Here in Fontana, this is how the truckers park when the wind blows. 72 mile per hour gusts.
