I have been a lurker for a while. This is my intro, even though I may have posted before. Anyway I have owned my 55 Chevy hdtp since buying off a used car lot in 1975, a 55 Cadillac convertible since 1976, 48 ford pickup since 1968 ( Given to me by my Grandfather) and a 56 Plymouth Belvedere hdtp given to me last year by cousin. My other grandfather gave it to him in 1968 and I had told him for years that I wanted it if he ever got rid of it.

  18. I have what is left of a 63 chev Pk that I bought in 1970. I have a 66 ford 2 ton i bought in 72 and a 55 ford wagon that was given to me in 74. I pulled out the no good 223 and installed a 262 a couple of years ago. havent done anyting else to it in all those years:eek: OldfWolf

I've had my 38ford coupe for 44 years . Purchase date was August 9, 1966.

  21. I've had Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup since I was 14 (1966). My parents bought Ozelle the '55 Ford new, the car has been mine since I was 16 (1968). Henrietta and Ozelle send friendly horn honks to all the long-time car owners. 11 year old grandson refers to Henrietta as "my truck," keep telling the kid he has to wait until Paw Paw is dead; likewise with oldest daughter who has her sights set on Ozelle.

I guess I have a dismal record selling hot rods; I've never let one go. My first car is still with me, the '40 Ford coupe I got in 1967, when I was 15. Got the '41 pickup in 1975, right after I graduated from pilot training. I've had the '29 roadster since 1982. Not much indication that I'll be getting rid of any of them soon.
