We have a 63 Impala bench seat car with a 409 and 4 speed, it's been almost finished for 10 years. I have a 65 C-80 tractor with the original 409, 5 speed and air brakes, look for it at the American truck Historical Society show in Springfield this year. I also have a 65 Low Cab Forward C-60 grain truck with the original 348.

  11. Ringleader, what kind of blower intake manifold is that or did you make it?

Have a lead on a running 409 out of an impala.. Never been gone through but has even compression (although low) but even in every cylinder. What's it worth?

Before anyone asks, the car was hit extremely hard in the rear and is full of rust on top of that. The owner parted what he could and crushed the rest.

I made it... started life as a 2x4 set up and I went from there. I looked at available intakes and they were just too expensive.... now we'll just have to wait and see if mine holds up but I probably won't be throwing a ton of boost at it anyway. I've got a blown sbc that'll run circles around this blown W but I want the nostalgia cool factor and not a belly button sbc.

I have a low mile 58 348 an PG out of a 58 wagon, 1 4bbl intake an 2 tri power intakes and a matched set of 64 425 carbs. 348 was mocked up in my 39 tudor but shelved the project. thinking about stroking it for a 56 Chevy

A 37 Chev Business Coupe with a 503 (409 with 454 crank) and he also has a stock bore 409 62 with a blower and electronic fuel injection. He goes first class on his builds. The pretty valve covers had to go for clearance reasons.

I’ll go through my camera and see if I can find my card with the build. I had a 49 ford and I traded it with my boss when I was 18. It was flat blue then. “30 now”

Just a FYI for the 2x4 guys with progressive linkage…..Rear carb in the upper bushing hole, front carb in the lower drilled hole. Linkage is adjusted so both carbs are wide open at full throttle. Engine then runs on the front 2 barrels of the rear carb at idle and part throttle.
