Here's my baby. Some of you might remember her from Bad Bobs BBQ in 2008. Original y-block with factory trans and it ran great. I decided to sell her in early 09 to get a down payment for a house. It hurt but it was for the greater good you know. What ruins it for me is the guy (Ruben Fuke) screwed me over. I still as of today havent been paid for it. I have an even more special attachment to 55-56 fords now. They're such beautiful cars. Ford had a great thing with the body style in these years. -GothY-
56 Kustom, if you belong to the 53-56 Ford Owners Group, I posted a discussion on how to post pix in threads. Check it out and lemme lnow if you need any additional help.
Gothboy, does this douchebag who ripped you off still reside on the HAMB? Where is he from? Just so nobody else gets screwed by him, make sure he is on the "bad buyers/ bad sellers list". People need to be aware of garbage like this. Hope karma starts paying you back soon.
Hi Guys I am a newbie. just want to say nice cars. and where the hell can i get a fiberglass Frontend for my 55 Fairlane
Here is my '55 i bought in '90 when i was 15. Drove her to highschool and started out driving her to college but parked her after the first year. Spent the last 7 years sitting in my garage. I got her road worthy this summer and put around 1000 miles on her in sept/oct. 302/c4, but a T5 is on its way.
small update....got the FE in and the factory heater and radio delete plates in. I need to finish the headers. It's threads like this that rekindle my enthusiasm.
i just acquired a 55 tudor sedan and am doing body work now, who can steer me in the direction of disc brakes? i've heard say granada or monarch? are they a bolt on deal like with mavericks or fairlanes
Granadas are almost a straight bolt on. The bottom ball joing will need to be reemed to fit the 55 balljoint but other then that it is a straight swap. Just did it on mine.
My favorite ride. 56 Customline Victoria Coupe. 1 of 33000 made. Only year for this model. 312/AOD. Made for cruizin.
Wow, a thread after my own heart. My husband and I bought our 55 fordor 5 years ago, go check out my profile to see photos of her. She was a almost complete car with the exception of that elusive trunk trim. Apparently they don't make it nos, so it's worth a pretty penny. How many of you have the trunk trim out there????? Lets see some photos of those rears too! Still have alot of work to complete her, but we are close!
I have looked and looked to see a chopped version of my car and FINALLY i see what it could look like, i LOVE it! Wish i had the skills to pull that off!
My pic's are on my profile, not that great with the comupter. I have a mild kustom 56 fairlane, 4" lower built up 312 and fordomatic. I did all the work engine, transmission, body & paint striping etc. I love this car.
What is the body style representing the side trim on these "described as"?? Obviously both are 55's including the one above this post (the Salmon colored one) so I "assumed" they were customlines, but I read in this post '55s didn't have customlines. I like the long straight subtle line down the side and want to start hunting some down for my '56. Thanks, Ken
^^The two cars you showed are both '55 Customline 2-door sedans, and are a relatively common model. What they didn't make in '55 were Customline Victorias. This is my car. It's a '56 Fairlane Victoria, but with '55 Customline side trim -- which, I think, is what you're wanting to do:
YES YES YES...EXACTLY Thank you, I must have missed or misread the No --Victoria-- part!! That car of yours is BEAUTIFUL, I was going to list it too, but I didn't?!?!? Although I would pass on the rims (I actually have a towncar with a set of them on it!!) they don't look all that bad on there.??!!? Thanks again...back to the Bay site, and "I'm on the hunt".....Ken
