I have 3 now,the 4th one will have to be something that I just can't live without.starting to get really, really picky.

  6. My all time high was 7, all ran except for the '37 Plymouth coupe and the '62 Triumph TR-4. That number included the S-10 truck that I bought and drove home, just so I could yank the T-5 trans out of it for the Plymouth. The fact that I did this WHILE we were packing up to move, did not win me any popularity contests...but it was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. Down to a more reasonable 4, two daily drivers, the '35 Chevy and the T-bucket. But I stand to inherit a couple more from my Uncle someday, plus the Cushman scooter and the Mustang minibike....

I have 1 HAMB friendly car, one is OT. Not enough, but all I have funds and room for.

  8. I am assuming you mean HAMB friendly cars! I have two but plan to try and sell one soon. I am 68 and starting to feel my age. Time has become more valuable and it is hard to get motivated. I like to keep my things well maintained. I think it is time to just have one car to drive and enjoy. But that is just me!

  9. update:
    31 Buick
    48 Ford F1
    62 Nova wagon
    3 off topics
Find out in a couple days about adding 61 Impala convert.

  16. I had 5 cars, 2 running, 3 projects. In order to complete the projects I have (or try to until my time is up), I sold one of the running cars to help finance my latest build. My 40 pickup project, the next one in line, is really about 1/3 of the way there all ready, and the final project a pretty simple build if most of my leftover parts - nothing fancy, just functional. I know I can handle 3 running cars, don't know about 4 at this stage of my life. I do not want to be a slave to them, but just to enjoy whatever I have is my objective ....

I once asked a man the same question during a conversation about guns. He said, "If you know how many guns you have, you don't have enough."

I was born into the restoration hobby and inherited my Grandfather and Dad's collection. I have 11 cars. only my coupe is HAMB friendly. However, several of the cars are of interest to HAMB people.
    1910 Overland Touring
    1914 Buick Touring
    1922Buick Touring
    1923 Ford Depot Hack
    1928 Ford Roadster
1929 Ford Special coupe (this one is my banger hot rod)
    1930 Chevrolet sedan
    1950 Chevrolet Convertable
    1961 Dodge Lancer wagon
    1967 Mercedes sedan
    1970 Chevrolet Pick up.

The Wagon and pick up are my daily drivers.
Its getting harder to not pull the fenders off the roadster and build another hot rod or perhaps a speedster out of the T. LOL

  21. 28 Ford sedan high boy, 32 Ford roadster street rod, 47 Ford coupe street rod, 99 Eldorado ETC, 70 Chevy BB El Camino, 71 Chevelle SS454, Wife's Solara convertible, 17 Tacoma my company ride. Everything is plated, insured, inspected, driveable and look good. I've got my hands full and the garage is stuffed. I don't need another car or project. (unless something gets sold.)

  22. I don't rightly know how many we have. never counted them. I estimate some where between 200 & 300. The majority are scrap & parts vehicles. We do have a few dozen project trucks with titles. most are chevys between 64 and 72. a few fords and 3 pilot house dodges. I once for a short time quit bringing more stuff in. and actually reduced the hoard a bit. Then I realized that doing so wasn't actually my idea. It was others telling me what I ought to do. Im hoping one of the grandsons has the hoarder gene and they can take over someday. At present Im using a 70 interntional loadstar dump truck. a 76 chevy C65 ten wheeler, a 71 chevy 3/4 ton a 83 chevy 3/4 ton , two 66 GMC half tons. And my wife has a OT jeep grand Cherokee. That's 7 licensed and insured.

    Not including my daily drivers,
    1928 Ford AV8 CC Pickup
    1955 F100 Project (for sale)
    1958 Buick Estate Wagon
    1970 Ford Mach 1
    2013 Harley CVO Road King.

3 old cars is really too many with the bike mixed in. Hard to keep up with it all. Anyone know of a nice 1939 Ford Convertible for sale? I’m dying for one!!!! LMAO.

Since my original post in 2013, I thought I downsized some. Currently 3 of my builds are drivers and I slowly continue to work on a 4th Wagon 2door conversion.

  30. I like your photo { rusty1}. I'll say, that I've had people asked me how many cars, (toys) do I really need. If I collected stamps, guns, baseball cards, etc. They would never ask that. And I've been told, that you don't need more than one car! And that you can only drive one of them at a time. But I think as long as you don't put them before your Faith, Family, or budget. You can have as many as you want. I do have a few that are kinda like family, and would never want to part with. If I ever get too old to drive them, I'll just pass them down to the kids, and grand kids.
That way I'll still know where they're at, and just enjoy all the great memories. Sorry for the rant, yeah I'm one sick puppy. Lol But to answer the question. I have six that I can drive. And then there's the ones in my little junkyard. Ron...[emoji15] 20171013_124019.jpg
