ive got a 65 cyclone it was my grandpas and sat from 84 till last year i finaly got it back on th road
I would like to find a nice '64 or '65 Comet wagon. Heck, I would even take a '65 Cyclone and bring back a rush of memories in my early street racing days. I had a Hi-Po 289 with 4 speed and ran it so much I ltterly wore the engine out within 2 years. Metallic Turquoise with black interior and chrome Astro slots.
My 64. Go back and forth between wanting to lower it and put skirts on and just leaving it stock, I love it and drive it everywhere. Still want a 60 someday.
I've been looking for a '65 hard top for about six months...........if anyone wants to part with theirs let me know.
I've got a '60 Comet wagon that I picked up a couple years ago as a parts hauler. Put on a set of $100 Pep Boys tires, some Spacer wheel covers and upgraded to alternator......otherwise still looks the same.....not much to look at.
1961 Mercury Comet S-22, 200 six banger with a decked 250 head, split tube header, weber carb, straight pipes and a T5 tranny. Only plan is to bomb the roof and put it on bags.
Wow, nearly 7 year old thread! But what the hell, count me in. I'm on my third one. Coincidentally, someone already posted a pic of mine (taken circa 2004) in post #28 of this thread. Here it is again. Looks a little different these days...
