Born & raised in Cedar Rapids was racing / crusing on 1 st Ave there in the mid 60s to the end of the street racing. Also daag raced at Edyville & Waterloo Also watched the dirt cars race at Hawkeye Downs Moved to Oklahoma in 81 But try to get back to IA every year.. Great place to live.

agreed chubbie, im in hawarden 5 or 7 days out of the week haha. ive got sunday/mondays off so thats usualy when im thrashing on the car. sned me a pm sometime and we'll meet up.

 

Well since this post has been brought back to life for another round I might as well join in. I'm from Lehigh, north central Ia. Used to post years ago, but I let work on my house and other non car projects fill my time. I recently got back to working on one of my cars, and didn't know just how much I missed it all. Alot of amazing new talent on this board and has been neat getting caught up.

I am also in northwest Iowa. I even rocked the Jalopy Journal flathead shirt today!

 

now that the hot rod season is winding down....we gotta start thinking ahead to spring 2012. I am hoping that the HAMB Iowa members will help
spread the word about our event on May 4/5.

Moved away from Davenport for about 4 years and then moved back about 25 years ago. "sjselk" ran the oneways in the late 50's and early 60's and lived at Ted's Drivein
