How many HAMBers are running stovebolts/inlines

    They also use stove bolts to hold the body sheet mteal together. I found out when trying to take them apart, it's best to tighten and twist them off and replace with hex head bolts.

  6. I'm running a '62 261 in my '59 chevy. Everyone I talk to thinks it's a pontiac motor but it I got it out of a 62 3/4 ton chevy

    I´m running a stock 261cui from a 1957 Truck in my 1948 Chevy coupe. I recently bought an Offenhauser intake for dual carbs and a pair of Fenton headers. But I´m still missing some carbs, they are kinda hard to find here in Denmark! :confused:

    Anyone who can tell me a good combination of carbs for that setup?

    In my 1936 Chevy I´m running a 216cui from a 1948? Chevy Truck.

    Nope its a new style aluminum off of a 250. specificly to eliminate the crossover.

    had a bunch of trouble making hte glass float holleys work right. so it got a clifford 4barrel and a holley 600 till i get my 2 94s done on a 2x2 adapter to a 4bbl.

  14. I'm running a '51 Pontiac 239 straight six, bored 30 over with an Edmunds custom dual intake and pair of Stromberg carbs...still need to bolt an exhuast (maybe custom header pipes)

    36 Chevy, 250 with 2X2 Holly"s and cast headers. 700r4, 4:10 gear. Come visit with me at "Run what-ya Brung.

    Here's my stovebolt. 54, 235, 060 over, 848 head, balanced, cam, Tattersfield intake, two Pontiac WA1 carbs, original Fentons, HEI and more. With glasspacs![​IMG]
     
  23. 63 Biscayne - originally a 230 car - now has a 292 with a lump-port head and 1.94/1.6 valves, Offy intake, Edelbrock 600CFM, and HEI. Next step is split exhaust, then a cam and Chevy 307 pistons. Pic is when it was mocked up.

  24. I have a 292 cid Chevy w/ 3x1 intake , headers , 9:1 comp that goes in my RPU , a Nash flathead six with an aluminum 2 carb head ( awaiting a car to go into) a 250 cid Chevy w/2x2 intake , headers , etc also awaiting a new home and my '38 Chevy 1 1/2T has it's stock 216 inliner

    <<------216cu in mine, with a 3 on the tree. went screamin down the freeway here yesterday and topped out at 77mph. thats where it made more noise but no more speed. gonna split the manifold soon.

    eventually its gonna get a 235 2 carbs and a T5.
