I have a 1953 331 in a Chrysler New Yorker . Right now the car is a place to store the engine . I plan on powering a 29 Chevy roadster with it some day.

Just bought this one. Picking it up Sat. A bit rough here and there but the desoto hemi runs smooth w/40 lbs oil pressure. Hooked to 39 Ford box and 40 rearend... NO nailing it unless you just want to do it ONCE!

I'll know more when it's home. Hoping for good weather and safe trip.

Here's my blown '58 Chrysler 392 that will be slated to run in the rails of my '31 Chevy 5 window coupe - HEMI IN A CHEVY - has a wicked "ring" to it!! When she's finished, she'll have candy metalflake paint, white rolled and pleated interior, etc!

I just picked up my '53 331 that I bought a few months ago. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but it's in really good shape.

Here's a pic of what I want it to look like

I've got a baby 291 in a 55 Desoto. It started after sitting in a scrap yard outside of Phoenix for 10 years.

  15. In a Polyhead chamber the valves are canted, the valves are not canted in the Gen.III head, also Polyheads have a single rocker shaft as opposed to double rocker shafts.

Industrial 331 in my 34. Anybody have a oil filler tube that they want to get rid of?

  17. If the chamber is not a symetrical hemisphere but, rather, adjacrnt hemispheres, it is a polyspherical chamber regardless of the positioning of the valves. The Gen III heads have polyspherical chambers.

    I have 5 hemis. Two Desoto (330 and 341) and 3 Chrysler (2-331 and a 354).

The 1956 354 is headed for the machine shop on Monday. The other four are just playing cards in the garage.

I don't have a car to put them in!!!!

  27. I have two 392's a '57 and a '58. the '58 is in my '51 Ford coupe now. The other was in it, but needs a rebuild/balance. ...maybe a good motor for a '29 highboy coupe, someday?

Same deal here. I also have an overdrive trans attached to it that'll need some loving and a wad of cash as well.

Good thing the flathead in my 54 runs like a clock, cuz it's gonna be a minute til i get to the 241.
