I FIGURED AS MUCH. I'VE SEEN ONE ON E-BAY, BUT IT BROUGHT AROUND $1500.00. I'M WAY TO BROKE FOR THAT. I'VE ALREADY STARTED ON A SHEET ALUM ONE. AN OLD CAST PIECE WOULD BE MUCH COOLER, AND I THOUGHT MAYBE SOMEONE MIGHT KNOW OF A SOURCE THAT I HAVEN'T FOUND YET.

    THANKS ANYWAY,

    -BRIAN-

  2. I had several up until about 2 years ago. 2 392 Chryslers, a 331 Chrysler, a De Soto, and a 241 Red Ram. The Red Ram and some covers are all I have at present.

Just one. A 291 Desoto going into a 29 Ford Coupe. Will have an Edmunds 2x2 with '97's, a Mallory dizzy, and mated to either a Ford toploader or Cad/Lasalle trans (haven't decided which yet).

I've just got the one, it started out as a 1953 331 Chrysler that I put in my 41 Ford Super Deluxe tudor over 45 years ago. Still looks fine.

    Hey wrenchbender54,
Pleased to see you have a pair of 318 Poly(semi-hemi) covers on your wall cos I am a big fan of those but I don't think you should include those Chevvy items in with the quality Chrysler products.

Just for interest a bloke was asking A$400 for a pair of Chrysler Firepower stamped covers at a local swap meet last week and A$350 for a plain pair. Based on this you have a few $$$$ hanging on your wall but I guess they are easier to find there than they are down here.

I have a 241 Red Ram w/3speed overdrive. Not running in a 53 dodge coronet. Planning on putting in my 36 Plymouth Business Coupe or 27 T sedan.

291 desoto in my 46 ford

  28. I like em all but 392 has thus far eluded me, so I'm stuck with 2-241 dodges, 1-270 dodge, 1-276 DeSoto, 1-330 DeSoto and the 354 chrysler thats been in my 48 ford 3 window coupe since 1958

  29. I have a couple 392's (building a blown 392 for my 34 coupe) as well as a Dodge Ram pickup with a 5.7 (if that even counts!).

I'm going to be creating a thread on the 392 build up -- as it is a somewhat unique combination (392 block, Donovan 417 heads, etc) -- and my experienes may help others --- or maybe I should say the pain and $$$ of doing things different than most! I should be ready to start putting things together in the next month or so.
